If I were a pilot who had a chance of getting shot down, maimed or even killed in terrible pain, believe me, at least I would gladly become obsolete! :^> Eventually, the case for more drones should win
out, even with all the opposition. It's sort of like the argument against solar power for replacing much of our foreign energy needs. Lots of vested interests in place.

About the comparison to chess, right on, as I have been learning the game a bit over the last three or so months, and kept wondering why the computer was beating me when I made my moves too fast! <G> It was relatively easy for me to go from beginner to the intermediate level, but I really hit a "brick wall" trying to beat the computer at the advanced level, before I took a lot more time, which of course we do not always have available to us, and even then, we end up getting a lot of "draws".
