True AND an investment co. needs far less employees. Interest on
$800M is about $12M per qtr (6%) before taxes. Why not use the inter-
est for R&D and more Maverick-like investments?
That's why they need to get the chip business profitable and save the
liquid assets for the next down cycle. I don't care if they make mem-
ory, router, telecom or potato chips. Just make 'em fast and
profitably.
