Les,
I sincerely believe that it is the "beginning of the end", as far as overconfidence and a belief system with the bulls that the market will "always" go up, without suffering any extended major bear market within their lifetimes, but what do I know, as I could be totally wrong.
The "tide" only raising the "big boats" is a very bad sign in my opinion, as it shows that most folks and portfolio/index fund managers believe far too much in the "safety net" value of big cap stocks. These stocks will also suffer very badly in any bear market, perhaps even much more so, as many of the smaller stocks have already gone through the proverbial "wringer"!
I firmly agree about there being an insufficient amount of financial liquidity out there to continue to raise "all boats" in tandem. Yogi
