Yes you are correct, the 50% is for two years out. But lets take 35% for next year. Compaq will be shipping 0% of consumer pcs through July. They were one of the largest supporters according to the article. That means that for the last 5/12 of the year practically all of their pcs would have to be Rambus. Do you think that will be the case?

Why do you think I reduced my position in RMBS upon comprehending the reality that 50% market share was now in 2002 not 2001. I expected the market to discount the $117 stock price to reflect reduced earnings in 2000 and 2001. It seems that understanding economic fundamentals is not a forte on SI board.

I am going to be back in starting @ 85. I know downgrades will come soon allowing us to go from neutral to oversold condition real quick.
