DMF,
I was only comparing a part of the equation. Other things to consider. Intel has a lot more money, much, much better fab capabilities and is well entrenched in the business sector. Even with the Athlon, cracking the latter won't be easy.

I believe that part of Grove's paranoid culture includes constant scrutiny of the here and now, tomorrow, next quarter, next year, the next decade and the next 20 years.

So why is Willamette still 18+ months out?
