When I travel with the kids, I like to stay at places that have sturdy furniture and washable furnishings. No bed&breakfasts. We usually stay at something like a Comfort Inn. When it's just me, something like a Marriott or Hilton. Maybe what I should do is look in a guide book, and then ask you if you know anything about the possible candidates, that's probably the easiest way. Manhattan for sure, close to Grand Central Station?
