It was written with tongue firmly in cheek. There actually was very significant news recently (albeit this trend is widely known). UUnet has announced they are getting rid of FORE ATM switches and going to a pure MPLS-based IP network. Juniper's routers are the only products UUnet is using for the time being. Though that will eventually change, Juniper is sitting square in the drivers seat.

Good to see you on this thread. I always value your opinions on rmbs and qcom. I'm still undecided about jnpr but it seems like a good business plan, with a good product in a good market. Your thoughts are much appreciated.
