Good mourning Annette:

I trust that everybody survived today's debacle. What gets me mad is that there is all this talk about the demons of inflation bashing in our protective gates yet the numbers that are coming out fail to substantiate that the boogie man is right outside our door. To add further insult to injury on public service television nightly business news report they indicate the dangers that our economy is slowing down as witnessed by the decline of the dollar. Forgive me for being naive but it appears that we can't have it both ways. On one hand, we have and economy that's busting at the seams with impending inflation and we also have a slowing economy. this reinforces my belief that valuation reasons are all a crock and controlled by some backroom Wall Street powerhouse who decides which stocks will go up and which will go down. Brokerage firms take money on the turnover of stock which is determined in part by volatility which can explain the constant shifting in upgrading and downgrading of specific issues when the fundamentals have not essentially changed.

Just my opinion.

Now all we have to do is to wait for those backroom bosses to decide that AOL is vastly underrated and is a "screaming buy".

Now to return and lick my wounds.

David
