Marginmike: I agree, every July. I was wondering today what we would blame the slide on. Greenspeak?, "overvaluation" (fun buzzword thrown around by the experts), fear of loss? But as for GS, it will happen as long as the herd subscribes to the 'govt. can control the markets' theory.

It seems that for a loooong time everyone has been looking for ANY fearful excuse to sell. Unless we do sell early as you subscribe, we are at their mercy. It is always amazing to me how sentiment about a company can change when there is no fundamental change to go with it. Such is the market.

Q has not changed. Either has my sentiment, and no market can influence it, yes, I may bleed to death, but at least I'm in good company. (doublespeak) :)

mm -

RE your post about AG I thought it an intresting analysis. I hope it turns out to be true. In any event your opinion is always worth reading so far as I'm concerned and I feel the better for your views.

I don't thonk its fair however to critisize those who buy and hold. After all this is the classic investor and it is he who holds the market together in times like last year when their lack of panic allows and easy and quick recovery. Not everyone is blessed with the gift or courage of market timing.

Best regards,

L
