Hi Elmo - Did you notice the large PUT transaction for the January 2001 30 PUTs (ZTHMF) of 2,350 contracts at $9.00. It just may be the trader who sold all of those calls now selling naked puts to hedge his position. I do find the Jan 20 PUTs (year 2000) looking interesting (THQMD) at $1 1/2. Even the Jan $17 1/2 Puts at $0.75 may be a good trade. Of course I would be selling these Puts to open (ie naked) with the expectations that they would expire worthless.

However for now, I am going to wait 10 more trading days before I explore an option strategy for 3COM.

Good luck with your purchase.
