I add a few each year. The ones that got my vote earlier this this year have been qualcomm, softbank, LSI. I also took on some metals -- SIL, SWC, NEM and a little of ABX and PDG. I tend to speculate on the same stocks. But my spec positions are strictly day to day time horizon. For example, I did well with MSFT but did not add it to my long-term account. I don't know how to play softbank except to own it. I played with GM and own a little. Other things I own but take no interest in because they were not my idea. I would love to make so much money in my spec account that I could take credit for being a bright speculator -- but lets face it, a lot of day to day speculation is a pretty shaky path to financial success -- so I lead a double life.
