what msft says and what they do are two different things. I heard this same story a year ago and they made 4 excellent quarters since then...so we shall see.

johnd, did MSFT not increase buybacks of shares on the open market this past quarter----18 million is what i recall.

It does not appear much buying is coming into this stock. I am holding off buying back any shares(actually decided to sell what i bought on Friday---better to keep it in cash, waiting for the right opportunity).

It might be worth playing the bounce in the stock on daytrade basis tomorrow---assuming it opens at about the same price it closed.

"Short selling" is where i have found my opportunities. The Nasdaq has been very cooperate in that sense. Decided to cover my stock shorts at the end of the day. Still holding the Nasdq 100 puts for a while longer.
Waiting for another bounce tomorrow to short stocks again(won't ever short MSFT directly but sticking to the Nasdaq100 index, Dow,Oracle, RNWK). Always on the lookout for other short candidates.

All i want to see is another 2 or 3 more days like this so that i can assume a somewhat neutral position to the market. For the time being the opportunities are only in Puts and shorting.
IMHO of course.

Best of Luck.
