Yes I know a few printers. I have to remember their names but I know some.

Frederic in my opinion, this is the ultimate the tantamount, the pinnacle of Y2K paranoia. Is it true? I would not doubt it for a second. You must prepare for the worst 9999 is the end is 8-bit binary code. That is a given, will it result in widespread shut downs? I doubt it. Most important code is 16 bit or greater. Those shutdowns will occur in the year 2010.

My opinions only.

Not that is would surprise me, weirder things have happened, but I honestly believe that is a little too paranoid. I think it’s a BS story.
For one: weighing the paper? the Pentagon has a hard enough job keeping military equipment from being stolen. You honestly think that they would be able to stop someone from stealing a copy of a paper coupon book just because they had a couple of guards stationed in the area.
Two: "Petrol", no one that I know uses that word to describe gasoline, diesel, or any other type of fuel. Sorry sound like it came out of some British conspiracy theorist mouth.

Besides, you have got to remember, those that are military are NOT just robots that are programmed to take away everyone’s rights if given any excuse to do so. I have several friends that are career military, that laugh at this stuff when it gets to them.

So tell your friend, who knows a guy, that knows a guy, who knows a printer, that you think they are full of crap.
