*Contest* Picks Summary. G* Closing Prices on 7/30/99, 9/30/99 and 1/31/00
Anyone want to take back their irrational euphoria <<gg>>?
High/low is an amazing 156/17
Let's hope the picks via the yahoo thread are right...
I'll provide periodic updates. Let me know about any errors/omissions.
Equal weight to each pick -- any tie goes to the bullish side.

P.S. To AR2BW, feel free to provide all sorts of interesting statistical analyses on this sample
P.S.S. I would note (sadly) that I may be taking myself to dinner as of today :-) djane

Rocket Scientist, live up to your screen name for pete's sakes and opine on the soyuz rocket :-)
I was just getting all warm and fuzzy towards the Delta series when your post indicated we're betting an even dozen on the Soyuz [I DO NOT LIKE ROCKETS WITH "Z" ANYWHERE IN THE NAME].
So what do the professional handicappers say about this baby?
Regards, Mike Doyle

I hope the optimism expressed in the contest predictions helps create a climate which leads to a sell-off (under the contrarian sentiment theory that everyone has bought and all positives are factored into the price) in G* over the next couple months. As a long-term investor, I still want to add one more chunk to fill out my position.

If everyone is aware that SI boards are used to monitor sentiment and one usually should act in the opposite manner of the conventional wisdow of the thread, doesn't that throw off the validity of using the thread as a contrarian indicator? Isn't this the crux of the postmodern self-awareness dilemma. Maybe I'm overthinking this whole subject and should keep to the KISS philosophy :-) djane
