I think it may still be early, and gold may find new fundamental trading levels well below where it is now...still, you own the best gold producer in the world with hedged prices set well above $300...with gold mines closing throughout the world (will eventually work its way into lower supply issues) and run on gold will push ABX through the roof...good luck.

wow, maybe we should go over to the gold threads , but...

i like abx because of their hedge...

if one is somewhat skittish, one can buy abx and sell calls against it...

this way you are double hedged...

hey, if they can hedge the gold, you can hedge the shares...

having said that , i am hopeful that gold will work out sometime in ninety-nine

How so? My understanding is that the heap leaching mining method (the tree-hugger in me says BOO!) allows for great elasticity of supply....
