I am long QCOM, although I lightened my position lately. Its rise has been parabolic (I think it's the top NASDAQ stock), but there is lots of very good news to accompany it. I don't expect it to drop below the high 120's and intend to load up at anywhere below 140. If I had to compare it to a past stock in terms of market positioning, I would say it is in the same position as MSFT was back in the early 90s, when it started becoming clear that it was going to win the Windows vs OS/2 war with IBM. In the case of QCOM it's CDMA vs other mobile telephony protocols.

WRT inets there is no question in my mind that most are destined for the scrapheap of stock market history. People can't be fooled forever. So shorting a variety of them is a good way to make money. But I don't have the stomach to short while we are still in a bull market.
