SWRX-earnings out now, revenues up 28%

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 26 /PRNewswire/ -- SOFTWORKS (Nasdaq: SWRX - news) reported results for the three month period ending June 30, 1999.

SOFTWORKS reported that total revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 1999 increased 28% to $11.6 million, as compared to $9.1 million for the same period in 1998. Contributing to this growth in total revenue was a 42% growth in new software license revenue over the same period in 1998. International revenue accounted for 26.8% of total revenue. Additionally, deferred revenue was $29.0 million and grew approximately 32% from $21.9 million over the same period a year ago. For the quarter ended June 30, 1999 SOFTWORKS had a net loss of $290,000 and loss per share of $0.02 as compared to a net loss of $13,000 for the same period in 1998.

According to SOFTWORKS' President and CEO Judy Carter, ''Our revenue growth is evidence of continuing market acceptance of our products. Our management team is strong and is committed to our plan.''
