Or so my favorite economists and politicians in Washington would have me believe (funny how they always seen to conveniently leave out the words "low wage" in their public statements, however). You wrote: The lady at the cash register I give here a $20 for a 12 dollar ream of paper, she gives me about 3 dollars and some change and when I asked here about the other 5 she smiled and said 'sorry'.. So it's only fitting that we get the same kind of customer service for which many corporations are willing to pay for all these newly created jobs in this hot, hot job market ........ a very low level of service. I think about it a lot when standing in longer lines these days.
