>>So I would think that the majority of the inhabitants would (a) support the future regional economic development resulting from a mining camp, and (b) be looking forward to having a home with a water supply.<<

I think this is a fair and, most likely, conclusion.

Have a good day,

Rich

Howy,

As usual like the rest the people who I believe are brainwashed on this thread, the poverty of Tambo Grande and the existence of the deposit is not really the issue. The government of Peru is the issue with respect to the poverty of its people. If a mine were to come to pass, then the government would likely continue its depravation of the people and would force the issue of moving the town and the graveyard and we could continue in our bigotry with the respect to the poverty of the third world natives.

Don't you think that the government of Peru has the resources to drill and develop TG1 to TG infinity? Why would they choose a partner, especially a partner that may not have the best interests of the people in mind? Why would they choose a partner with no financial ability?

Remember, for the people and by the people created a pretty good spot to live and be. And if I don't like my countries currency and can switch no matter what the constitution says. Peruvians can't and they really don't have the luxury of a democracy, as flawed as ours is. So, that's kind of the bigotry I was talking about.
