I e-mailed Bill Tunnell of LD Communications, CMOZ investor relations to help clear up this 'master board' debate alittle. Here is my letter and his reply: My e-mail: Dear Mr. Tunnell, There seems to be some confusion about your company's future strategies involving the MBmagic Message Boards as stated in your July 20th press release. I would like to help clear up any confusion to some stock holders so as to keep the debate focused on the correct path. The confusion has sprung from this part of the PR: Cosmoz.com recognizes that several investment forum services have message boards on the same stocks, but investors generally go to the most active message boards first, such as SiliconInvestor.com which is owned by Go2Net (Nasdaq:GNET - news) and RagingBull.com which is partly owned by CMGI Inc., (Nasdaq:CMGI - news). One of the Company's strategies is to use MBmagic's turnkey solution to pool the message board traffic from hundreds of financial websites into the same stock forums thereby creating the Largest Online Investment Message Board Service. Some investors believe that the strategy is to create a master message board involving other message boards including SiliconInvestor and RagingBull. Some investors believe that the strategy is to build MBmagic into the 'largest online investment board service' by making it the stock forum of 'hundreds of financial websites.' Could you please clear this up for us by telling us which of those statements are closer to your company's strategies? Also, can you give us any information as to when and if Buckinvestor, StreetIQ, and your other financial websites will be pooled into the MBmagic Message Boards? Thanks for your time, and please note that I would like to post this e-mail and your reply unless you would rather I didn't. Thanks again, Robert Larsen His reply: Robert, thanks for your inquiry. I'm sorry to take so long in getting back to you, but I wanted to make sure I got you a correct answer to your question. CMOZ saw your comments and offers the following: You presented two scenarios for consideration, we feel the second is correct. Lets use this example to clear things up. Lets Say there is a financial site called StockX.com and one called StockY.com. Neither site has message board technology. MBMagic provides the platform and benefits from the ad revenues. So StockX's messages and StockY's messages would both be found on MBMagic...... but it would also be private labeled to each of the sites. Cosmoz.com is trying to make the decision about converting the boards of our other financial sites to MBMagic. The drawback is that each site uses a different database that is not compatible with MBMagic. This would mean that all archived messages on the financial sites would be lost and the boards would start over fresh. This isn't so bad, but we would rather not lose all of those archives. The traffic may be a little better if on MBMagic, but there would be no substantial increase or decrease in revenues. Hope that provides some clearification for you and again, sorry for the delay. Sincerely, Bill Tunnell
