Hi Yamakita-Thanks for your informative post..

I have to give kudos to Gateway here. (I do not own the Cow) They are the trailblazer in the consumer-end, but I'm glad to see Dell new strategy get rolled out here, and that Dell is copying the right things........I am also glad that Dell, even though it took a bit longer, looks like they are addressing several needs at one time (vs. a piecemeal rollout)..Today's announcement(s) look well-thoughtout, IMO, and not just a desperate, defensive reaction...I believe it will be received favorably (stock price)

Also, it (the new offer(s) appear pretty darn competitive to boot...Of course, Dell will never sell el-cheapo machines, but the real target here is (I believe they are called) the Pavilion, Armada, and IBM's offering in the 600-800 range.....(I believe they, not emachines, are the best selling retail models)...

Good job, MD! Now, go get the back-to-school crowd!
