day trader...

let me tell you what net-surfers that want MP3 music are looking for...

#1 the songs they want by the artists they want
(and that is rarely if ever some no-name band like those at mp3.com)
#2 reliable links to download the songs... this is a big problem
#3 free songs... nobody is going to pay $1 per song when you can get it free at another site.

so basically that leaves mp3.com as one of many sources for free music, with no monopoly. and their only revenue source is most likely advertisements... but somehow i doubt they will have as much ad revenue as someone like YHOO... but keep dreaming if you want...

btw... these sites... scour.net, filequest.com and others are better that mp3.com... at least you can find the music you want with them.... with mp3.com... all you get is an endless loop of links and you don't get free music.... but keep investing in mp3.com if you want.. it's your money after all

and as for the quality of the music... yes, mp3 quality is good... but it's good from any site... not just mp3.com

And check this out....

MP.com…. it's apparent they have nothing worthwhile… amazingly, of the 400+ MP3s that I have downloaded the past 12 months, not one of them is from mp3.com…. and that's not because I haven't tried… they simply don't have anything worthwhile

FYI, limp bizkit, not that I like their music, but they are the hottest alternative band this summer… and MP3.com doesn't know who they ... not the sings you want from a "market leader"

Texas Instruments (TXN: news, msgs) Senior Vice President Rich Templeton said
during a keynote address Wednesday at the BancBoston Robertson Stephens
semiconductor conference in San Francisco that the move to wireless from digital has
"set the industry on fire." Said Templeton, "I've never seen innovation velocity higher."
Templeton also discussed broadband communication, including DSL (digital subscriber
line) and cable. He projected that within the next five years, 100 million customers will
have broadband access. The executive said personal audio space will revolutionize the
music industry. He concluded that "MP3" is now the most often searched term on the
Internet, replacing the keyword "sex."
