Today could be ugly for ebay:

Tuesday July 27, 8:31 am Eastern Time

BEFORE THE BELL - Internet shares mostly higher

NEW YORK, July 27 (Reuters) - Leading Internet shares were mostly higher in pre-opening
trade Tuesday as the battered sector rebounded a bit.

The American Stock Exchange's 48-share Internet index (^IIX - news) fell almost 5 percent
Monday, in part because of concerns about possible higher interest rates.

Internet service provider America Online rose to 101-5/8 on the Instinet electronic broker system
from a Monday close at 99-9/16.

Portal Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO - news) was up at 137-3/8 from a close of 134-5/16.

Retailer Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq:AMZN - news) rose to 107-1/2 from a 105-15/16 close.

EBay Inc. (Nasdaq:EBAY - news) slipped to 103 from a 104-3/8 close after the online auctioneer posted a decline in
second-quarter earnings.

Geez, Robert. I am blushing.

I sure would like to hear eBay's thoughts on that issue.
