Warner Brothers to Pull Y2K Movie; Producer Cites Fright of Public Panic

<< A recent story in the Boston Globe stated that Warner Brothers has cancelled plans for a movie entitled "Y2K," which would star Chris O'Donnell as a computer programmer who discovers a Y2K bug which would open up New York City to terrorist attack.

The article goes on to quote the film's producer Bing Howenstein, who believes that the decision "reflects a lack of faith in audiences to tell the difference between fictional and real-world computer disruptions." >>
