appro - don't put too much into this one - it's a lot more difficult and at lot less common than they would have you believe.

As in any commercial endeavor - the scam artists will find ways to cheat.

That didn't ever turn out the lights in Las Vegas, and credit cards aren't going away anytime soon.

It is more complicated that that.

A higher bid on eBay only goes a small amount above the second highest bid.

For example, let's say I bid $100 and you bid $200 on the same item.

Your high bid will only show as $102.50, unless someone comes in and place a higher bid than that.

In addition, when a seller sets a reserve price, they don't have to sell unless the bidding reaches that reserve price.
