they are clearly doing more than just "investigating" at an IPO at this point.... they have hired an investment banking firm to handle it.... oh, and i was really eluding to the fact that they should make a press release detailing their intent to do an IPO with the division. Clearly, they don't have the specifics of the actual price range, etc. greg

<<There are no specifics on the IPO yet>> Yet Noam said it was "in progress." That they are trying to find the best broker/banker to do it and are in discussions with one now. He left me with the distinct impression that it's merely a question of timing. Edmund, when the question of whether it would be before the end of 1999, refused to be pinned down. Volume this morning is heavy (298,000 so far), but I haven't seen that many large trades yet. Small traders sold into the early surge to 15 3/8. The biggest sale into this surge was ~2000 shares. My hunch is that the big buying will come later in the day.
