People, why Datek doesn't want to go public? An internet IPO nowadays could solve a lot of Datek's problems. Maybe Paul Allen pulled out after he learned there would be no IPO anytime soon, so Paul decided to park his money to somewhere more lucrative. Purely my guess but I fail to understand why Datek avoids IPO so far. Is there something they don't want SEC to see?

Re: my earlier post regarding unathorized trades in an account. Datek reversed the trades and changed the password on the account. The only ill effect was that the account was frozen from trading for one trading day. No explanation of how it happened.
