Perhaps they could buy WDC cheap right now, take their customer lists and good employees, and reduce the competition on the desktop market.

The price for acquiring WDC would be almost $1 billion at the present price for the stock (which they would have to bid above) plus the debt which they would assume($538 million). This isn't cheap! SEG's own stock is a much better buy IMO. Besides, wait till the debt holders own the stock before buying WDC. <g>
