This news is big news, obviously. It may have significantly contributed to the $7+ drop the last couple days, or selling when no jump occurred in price from the quiet period ended. Either way, the story has changed here for the worse on a short-term basis. I thought the news was BS, but confirmation in the DJ newswire tells me that this information is going to hurt the company short term. Revision downward is no good for any stock.

That's the way it goes sometimes.

What I've heard is this:

The Dow-Jones story is based on confusion of FY forecasts with calendar year forecasts. ISLD has *not* guided analysts lower, and analysts have not revised their projections from the original ones.

Fiscal year (ending Sept.) 2000 forecast is in the mid-$40M range. CALENDAR 2000 forecast remains in the $55-$60 range.

I suspect that this will become clearer when LEH issues its report. ISLD reports on Aug. 3.
