Lynn,

Geesh, your SNMM took a butt whooping of a hit today....I did a little research and found something that could be very critical to SNMM...

stockhouse.com

The discovery portion of the proceedings is set to begin next week, and Starnet will be forced to open its books. Deedee Molnick, president of Home Gambling, says that Starnet will have to reveal a number of pieces of information, such as a complete list of its licensees, where wagering is taking place and where its gamblers are located. (There is US legislation that makes online gambling illegal in its borders.)

They haven't ever opened their books, and if something bad shows up, they could be up the creek without a paddle. In other words, if bad stuff shows up, could result in delisting, halt, or out-right shut down of the company, depending on how the Canada gov't reacts to it.

A 1 Billion$ lawsuit on a company that does less than $10 million in sales, is pretty steep..........

Be careful

FM

Edit - I have another post in a minute..That PR looks like pure BS if you read into it...

Ok, Lynn, I think this PR by LVC is a bunch of BS and bogus....

Here's why...
First off, it appears this is more of a counter-lawsuit, not a initial lawsuit (if one at all)..Look at this -

TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN LAS VEGAS CASINO INC. AND SOFTEC SYSTEMS CARIBBEAN INC.

Wilmington, DE, July 27, 1999 - Starnet Communications International Inc. (NASD OTC-BB: "SNMM") ("Starnet") would like to confirm that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Softec Systems Caribbean Inc., ("Softec"), terminated its Software License Agreement (the "Agreement") with Las Vegas Casino Inc. ("Las Vegas Casino") because it was in default of its payment obligations for license fees payable to Softec under the Agreement. An outstanding amount of approximately $203,000 for monthly licensing fees has remained unpaid by Las Vegas Casino since May 31, 1999. As a result, Softec terminated the Agreement and all related services on July 23, 1999, and instructed its counsel to commence collection proceedings against Las Vegas Casino.
Las Vegas Casino entered into a Software License Agreement as a licensee of Softec in July 1998. Under the Agreement Softec licensed its interactive gaming software in addition to e-cash processing services to Las Vegas Casino enabling them to operate approximately 70 front-end casinos on the Internet. The Agreement requires the licensee to pay a percentage of its monthly revenues to Softec following the end of each month. Softec has not been paid its licensing fees by Las Vegas Casino since May, 1999.
Despite Softec's continual efforts to rectify the payment situation with Las Vegas Casino and its operator, no resolution was reached. Accordingly, Softec had no choice but to terminate the Agreement.
Based on an article published on RGTonline article entitled "Who's on First" (see: www.rgtonline.com/newspage/artlisting.cfm/2773), this is not the first time a gaming software provider has encountered payment problems with the operators of Las Vegas Casino.
Mark Dohlen, CEO of Starnet, states that "this is an unfortunate situation where we have a non-paying licensee who we had no choice but to terminate all services being provided to them under the Agreement. As a result, this operator is issuing statements which have no foundation whatsoever. We have instructed our legal counsel to commence collection proceedings and we are instructing our counsel to commence defamation proceedings against Las Vegas Casino for statements made against our companies and against officers of our companies".
Mark Dohlen also confirms that none of the allegations by Las Vegas Casino Inc. with respect to the integrity of the system have any foundation whatsoever: "I reiterate that we have not received legal notice of any lawsuits from Las Vegas Casino".
As stated by the Chief Operating Office of Venture Tech Inc., OTCBB: VTEH, one of Softec's licensees, "Venture Tech Inc. and its subsidiaries, remain completely committed to a mutually rewarding relationship with Starnet and we continue to have full confidence in the integrity and capability of its management and staff, with respect to our Asiacasino.com web-site now in full operation. We look forward to the launching of additional web sites in cooperation with Starnet and Softec.

Lynn, it looks like they are attempting to try and make SNMM drop the payments or something by launching some way out of porportion lawsuit against them.. No formal paperwork done yet! LOL Also, look at today's PR...

biz.yahoo.com

Starnet Sued by Las Vegas Casino, Inc. for One Billion Dollars

Those people don't even know how to use the proper tense. If no lawsuit has been filed, how can they already be sued for $1Billion? Sued would mean they already have the $ and the dispute is settled. Very untrue. The proper statement, I beleive should be "LVC files lawsuit against SNMM" (but, they haven't even done this yet!) They are off balance there.

Now, read the PR. IT is nothing but a bunch of testimonials bashing the company. They are not after anything but to get out of paying for the % of revs by issuing some Press RElease to try and destroy the company, (hoping that SNMM would have said "OK, just shut up, drop the $$")--apparently no luck..so they come out with this PR. IMO. They are obviously disgruntle with them, because they terminated them! I would be and probably try to get back at them, but a $1 billion "alleged" lawsuit is a bit steep and hard to beleive.

It looks like LVC's stuff is based out of Belegium and England, so that already makes you wonder about this and the company...I would like to know the "other companies" tied to this ....http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois?LASVEGASCASINO5-DOM

This PR has obviously been worded in a way to bash the company and get revenge....CAn you say "Defamation Charges" ?

If this is real, I'll be very surprised...It might have been worth taking a sizable position in today (at 10-12), if I would have been home...I need to research this more, this is just my beginning thoughts..$1 billion is a bit out of the ballpark for a dispute over accounting issues...:-)

I hold ZERO shares in SNMM...Looks like nothing but hot air to me

LOL!!

That PR on SNMM is gone from the wires now! What a big friggin joke, but a costly one to some people..

I think the "finance corporation" of this LVC was "gambling" on shorting SNMM by a PR that they knew would stir some crap up...It worked, they profited, now they will be in jail :-)

Look for a nice bounce, Lynn

Edit-
BAM! What did i tell ya - (and people crack on me about my spelling and grammer..SUED was the key word..Bad tense.
