Fleetwood Mac, that's Billary's Favorite Band, didn't they play the Inaugural Ball?
Jed and Joe you'll probly say I'm just jealous, but Nix on Nicks I Say!! Did you REALLY like her? Pre, Mid, or Post-Psycho Mode? Wouldn't she fit right in clinging to Fabbio's burly arm on the cover of some gothic paperback about an ancient celtic coven reincarnating from the undead to take over the denizens of a small farming town in the Midwest? Unclear which team she'd be on though... stars in her hair, slack-jawed, & spidery hippy clothes blowing in the breeze? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww. Screech goes right thru ya like nails on a chalkboard or cats. Tied with Heart for The Silver in the '70's Neuropathway Impairment-By-Music Marathon...
the horn section of Chicago got The Gold. Sorry to disagree with you guys... but here's a secret.... the gals I knew mostly hated her like poison, but put up with listening to her or even (the horror) going to the concert just to please their boyfriend.
Yep, some of the music then was as awful as the worst of it is today. Anytime James Taylor came on the car radio I had to turn it off before I fell asleep at the wheel. Ditto Joni Mitchell & Carole King.
I didn't like "Ten Years After" either, and (admitting it for the first time ever here on Techride except for telling the secret to my family, still afraid to be so un-PC so I'll say it in igpay atinlay)
I didn't like "The hoWay" (except for My Generation and Magic Bus).
Even Elv didn't always hit a Home Run... remember the way they played "Return To Sender" over and over again... to this day Off It Goes. And the first 45 seconds of "American Pie" are great til realization sinks in that it'll keep repeating itself going faster then slower for 10 more minutes... and 60 seconds is the last open eject window.
I remember pretending to like "The Lizard King" droning on for about as long a time, and would turn it off if no one was around too.
psssst....y'see, this is the stuff I had to give my tv away to make up for it...

Joanie
