Great question. My main goal is to win back the WH. Whatever positions he has are irrelevant to me, because the alternative is Gore or Bradley. But not all repubs feel as I do.

BTW, if you can accept the legitimacy of Hillary's "listening tour", why not think of Bush's current silence as his own listening tour?

I wish he would outline his positions in greater detail. OTOH, I understand if he keeps things fuzzy its tougher for the shameless liberal media and demagogues like Carvile, etc. to heap scorn upon and misrepresent them. And lets face it, after eight years of Clinton, anybody who isn't a convicted felon is a better choice no matter what his positions. JLA

Mark,

You can get a clue of how he governs by looking at his record. As far as what he stands for now , I believe it is far too early to lay all thecards on the table now, as it would just be cannon fodder. He will lay it out when the time is right. (Hopefully BEFORE the election!!) <g>

I have been aware of GW since he was a kid and know how he was taught by his parents.(after he sowed his wild oats that is. I don't suppose anybody else ever did such a horrible thing). His politics are pretty well along the line of his dad's. As long as he can ride the wave of popularity, there is no need to voice all of his stands so early in the game and give the Dems a target to aim their formidable weapons of biased journalism at to find a way to try and smear him with innuendo as they have so often done in recent years. I think he is wise to play his cards close to his vest. He will play the hand when the time is right. TD
