Joey,

Seriously, how come no K6-3 500s yet?

K6 is dead. The design was never architected to go much past 300 MHz, and they have pushed it to it's limit.

Joey,

If AMD is having serious problems getting to
500Mhz on an existing architecture, what makes you so confident they
will get there on an unproven, complex, new architecure? i know what
your answer will be but thought i'd ask anyway

Deep pipelines, and, probably, few logic levels (none?) between latches make Athlon the most scalable thing since Mount Sunnyvale.
