Amsterdam, July 25 (Bloomberg) -- Get a whiff of this: a semiconductor chip that produces smells.

That's what MicroCHIPS, Inc. of Cambridge, Massachusetts is trying to market. Some of its applications aren't obvious winners -- do consumers really want television ads for popcorn and diapers to smell?
