I don't know why it's taken so long but I suspect with Lawyers involved things always take too much time, and we investors sit around and wait. I called my broker again (Waterhouse) and got a hold of someone in corporate relations / answers to discuss the issue with. She said she had received a few calls already about this and they do not know what's up. From there discussion with NASD the split did take place and they were waiting on shares to be added to the investors portfolio.

I asked about whether there was some confusion about there being 2 splits, one on the 20th, one on the 23rd, she said no - it seems to be a dissagreement about when the first one took place. After talking with her I called NASD at 212-858-4000 for some clarification - I am waiting for a return call as well. Another confusing issue is the new trading symbol ABLCD which suggests a reverse split while NASD says it's a forward split.

Northstar says they are waiting for some lawyer advise about which way the wind will blow - they hope to have some news out today.

As of this A.M. my account reflects 5 x the number of ABLCD shares I had Friday. Now the question is how many shares are outstanding - it looks like we have stuck at the $2.00 range for the past few days and could move up from here as this mess gets cleared up.

I suppose there is still the possibility that the could reverse us back 1 for 5 split if NASD truly did screw up. I called Northstar yesterday and they said news is expected today re: this problem.
