HB, here are the latest bliss figures :

The July figures, released Monday, indicated that individuals who have invested for five years or less expect the market to return 22.6 percent annually over the next decade, and 21.1 percent over the next 12 months.

"surely you know that this market never goes down"

I know you're kidding, but that statement ranks up there with the other "Big Lies" like:

* "The check's in the mail."
* "She told me she was 18!"
* "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you."

I recall reading a Senate hearing report a couple of years ago, where the SEC said they were worried that they would be swamped with complaints from disgruntled investors if the bull market ever had a serious decline. I guess they should start running those help wanted ads...
