It appears the shorting or simply selling of tech stocks came to a halt but the internet stocks are not being spared by the short sellers. I believe they may be perceived as easier targets than the MSFTs/INTEL/DEll type of stocks. Maybe the hedge funds decided to cover their shorts in the techs and intensified their efforts on the internet stocks.
Logically, these are a better target anyways. The retail investor may have been scared from internet investing somewhat and that is why there does not appear to be good support.
We will have to wait and see.

BTW--great volume on MSFT I think it is a good sign but still not willing to commit to buying the shares.
