The LCI deal and the USWest deal don't compare well.
Many of the newer entrants on the thread have myopia regarding the growth rates.

LCI was a 40%+ grower, QWST was a 60%+ grower, the combo was >40% grower
USWest ~10% grower , QWST ~43% grower, the combo will be <20% grower

MCI/WCOM? projected growth for the next three years? ~23% @ year

People can say what they want but this deal fundamentally changes the way QWST will be valued by the street. We must all ask ourselves should QWST be valued at a large premium over WCOM? If so, by how much?
