"Separately, Stanford Wireless Broadband, Inc. -- a division of Stanford Telecommunications, Inc. -- has agreed to
purchase RF Modules in the amount of $750,000 for its new Local Multipoint Distribution Service (LMDS), which gives
communications providers a faster, more cost-effective way to deliver Internet access and video and voice services. Vari-L
will deliver the RF Modules, which include its own patented components, over the next 12 months. Initial products, geared
toward the business market, will later be adapted for subscriber markets."
