I was born disagreeable. When the doc slapped me on the bottom, I hit him back. <VBG> But seriously, C. Kahn has just indicated she felt I was "hostile". I get the feeling that in her mind, having a strong opinion and making people stick to the facts constitutes hostility. It doesn't and characterizing a vigorous (perhaps not totally tactful) expression of opinion and an insistence that the debate frame the question the original poster posited is just a way of diminishing the opponent when you are losing the debate. Neocon, I realize that we are dealing with all types of personalities here. And I also realize that things can not only get heated, but fly off into outer space sometimes. But I felt that someone needed to say that not all Democrats are evil and in cahoots with the devil, or Nazis, or communists. All of which I have read here in the last 24 hours. I suppose a civilized debate is only a dream at this point. I appreciate your very diplomatic efforts for all of us. And I respect your opinion very highly.

It's bad enough when pezz or rich4eagle make such stupid but vitriolic statements and need to be called down for them, even if it is in their low state of communication. But, when someone like chalu2 tries to talk down to me as if I were some peon, he's gonna get his too. As I have said before, I don't give two hoots in hell about being "politically correct". TD
