Substitute a few names posting here that say 'all will be well if you just don't say anything really doomey or that might cause a panic' for the same ones Lippmann spoke of... in his day, the pollys said "Don't be ridiculous, the Japs will never attack us....the Germans will stop with the Rhineland/Austria/Sudatenland....Jews aren't having any problem.. and such statements as 'quit your war-mongering, you're upsetting us...be happy, enjoy life, all is well, you're crazy, the japs aren't that strong.. the Nazis are no threat...you have no proof ......" 'Watch the pollys commentaries and remarks and attacks with Lippmann's words WELL IN MIND!!. "Those who refuse to remember the lessons of the past are doomed to repeat them!"
