It's a long story about the history of Amkor-Anam relation that goes back 30 years according to the SEC fillings. In short, Anam, which was burdened by heavy debt, is the exclusive contractor of Amkor at this time. Because of the close tie to Anam, AMKR was, and actually still is dragged down to earth. However, when the demand for chip processing capacity becomes stronger, Anam is contributing to the Amkor business in a big way, and the debt is becoming less an issue. Do your own research.
