Barton Biggs is a perma-bear, so i guess most people will tell you he's no good. but he's a likeable fella as long as you ignore most of his investment advice. anyway, i think he may have a point this time. a good scary correction would ultimately be a good thing for the longer term bull market...take out some of the excesses and all that. since Acampora is still bullish, we may still have a chance for a correction. he's been an excellent contrary indicator so far this year.

He is a very wise global strategist, he has been negative on the US mkt too often the pass couple of years. He was correct last summer.... he should not have been as bearish during Q1.

When I saw him a month ago on CNBC he said the market would be higher since the SPX and DJIA rule.

He made fortunes as a Hedge Fund manager in the 1960's and 1970's.

He got pretty bullish on Japan last summer and that market has outperformed ours since then.
