<<Last evening after a round of golf one of my playing partners broke out a GSM-1900 model (on Omnipoint) to check e-mail. I was a bit surprised as you generally see this model used in Europe but only infrequently here.

My playing partner like me, maintains both BAM (CDMA) and Omnipoint subscriptions. Unlike me (I use Omnipoint with a Bosch Worldphone for European travel only)he carries his BAM phone to places like Dallas & Chicago where GSM is not yet built out and otherwise uses GSM because of the capabilities of the Nokia 9000.

I look forward to the day when I CDMA/GSM (800 & 1900) phones are available so I can pare down to one phone...........>>

Eric L.: Reports from the *real life* field, especially the international field, are very valuable. Most appreciated and looking forward to updates. Would like to hear more about the use of the Nokia 9000, and vs. PDQ, if you have access to the experiences. ...Tim
