I am a CSCO employee and I also do technical analysis. I believe that the overall market is going to dictate the short to mid-term direction of most, if not all tech stocks. I believe that both LU and CSCO will be successful in the long term and that they will be the last bastions of strength if we see a market correction. And I have a great deal of respect for the management teams at both companies.

I would say that my attitude of respecting the capabilities of CSCO's competitors is common among the people that I work with.

My comments had nothing to do with fundamentals, only technicals. As I indicated, I believe that support points are far more relevant right now than resistance points. This means that I believe that the market is looking a little toppy right now.

I am a csco share holder. I also wish CSCO's competitor - LU's success. I am also a shareholder of LU. I don't see any conflict here.
