Stating he makes the monetary policy for the world is a slight overstatement.

I won't deny the man's words have a great effect on world markets, but he, nor the Federal Reserve Board make monetary policy for the world, just the US.

That said, I still think he's the most powerful man in the world. Rightly or wrongly.
