Mohan: Thanks for the article on the BJP-DMK ties / marriage. It is a political expediency. Anil Nair has intellectualized this marriage and injected his erudition. My belief is, the marriage is based on simple precept whether this association will win the election or not (Sadhana). Anil seems to have elaborated this idea into an interesting piece encompassing North vs South, Backward and the Brahmin, Tamil vs Sanskrit, Bhakti vs Brahmanism ( Devotion vs Sadhana -attainment of goal), mother fixation ( Thai pal paithyam - Mother's milk craziness - literal translation) etc. I enjoyed reading this piece.
