Kemble re: The management tells ya where the company is going in a very conservative way.

Nearly all the nervous investors are focusing on the uncertain marketing and price of consumer PC's. This reminds me of accountants that focus on the costs of pencils and size of desks because the rest of the world is invisible to them. Even still, Dell is in the best position to deal with marketing and pricing because they are in direct contact with the customer, unlike their competitors. As investors, we are not in the catbird seat that Dell is in, so we speculate and back seat drive. I listen to M. Dell when he says that there is nothing new in the PC market, it is following its old trends.

re: this guy has been telling everyone in the world what DELL management plans to do.

Kemble, you may cheat off the smart guys, but you keep your eyes and the car on the road. Dell has given us the broad outline of their plans but not the details that would tip their competitors off. This keeps some investors nervous who don't feel comfortable with anything but all the details. The point is though that investors have all the reason to trust Dell's management and lucrative execution on broadly outlined plans. The high cost of good service has been the one thing that Dell has been working on before entering the lower priced consumer market. Now that they have entered, I can guess that they have addressed this aspect. I know their competitors haven't.

Thanks for keeping us focused.
Cheers
Mike
