Thank you Nicole, and after a night of thinking about this , I came upon a compromise I sold the 2 I feel were most dangerous to hold at this moment, NPLS and EDGR,and my loss came out to be 22k.
I then took 80% of that money and bought 4k shares of another stock
in what my broker called "a gutsy move":)--or stupid maybe--time will tell.
I now have 165,724 dollars cash in my trading account,so I think I am not in need of tears, yet:)
And I remain in a situation where my target for AFTER taxes next
year is quite obtainable, and that target is simply to have then the SAME amount of money I had on 1/1/99.
As what I do on SI is not a savings account but a cash flow account.
Thus far this year I have paid out 80k in bills and am now 30k below my 1/1/99--which means I am for the moment any way 50k ahead of the game, but nonetheless NOT a good performance.
My biggest mistake was not to have enough shares of my biggest winners---CD did much better than me n HSAC because I only had 1kshares--I wouldn't be in this situation if I had going with 4k shares.Good Luck,Max
