Gersh; I could but my method is to slow , Monty could do it
in a heart beat . I just got them plugged into a paper portfolio,
that sums them up for me, weighted them by vol x $ instead of
market cap. It looked ok for the day but not as strong as the
indexes or news pundits would have us think.
In a way I sort of think in pictures , I'm just not good at
painting what I see. I guess years at sea caused me to think
in terms of relative motion, ( relative motion is not hard
to understand but I have a devil of a time explaining it )
---------------
If I put a new man on watching the Radar I always check to see
if he can plot the closet point of approach on a moving
target , people that never had any relative motion training
think what you see is what you get on a radar, but it's not
if both you and the target are moving
however it becomes second
nature after you catch onto it.

That's one reason I keep saying the NDX fell 9.5% from July 16 thru
July 26 relative to the dollar, BUT it really fell 12.8%
if adjusted to the dollar..
Now it looks like it got 3.37%
of that back today, but at the same time the dollar fell some
more against the Pound, Yen and Euro..(they are about all I
watch.)
You can bet the Parlay players who trade the Forex against
stocks and bonds know about that 12.8% drop.
Some one ought to wise CNBC up.

Hi Gersh,
In response to Jim Hopkins excellent post #21246 regarding "Top Traded Stocks $ wise on a 3 month avg volume to price" basis, you asked, "Can you chart this hybrid somehow?"

I believe that Metastock,
equis.com
provides the capability to create an index out of any number of stocks.

This is one possibility for "charting this hybrid".

Can anyone on this thread with Metastock do this?

Regards, Skipperr
